Calvin Harris Unveils New Single

Following on from the sharing of the darker ‘Slow Acid’ – we were most impressed by the Scot’s detour away from his typically pop infused styling – Calvin Harris has returned to more familiar fare with the unveiling of his new single Open Wide’ featuring US hip hop artist Big Sean.

The cut is the latest track to be taken from the chart toppers inbound album Motion which arrives November 3. Boasting a host of big name collaborations,  Motion sees Ellie Goulding, Gwen Stefani, Haim, Tinashe, Hurts, John Newman, R3hab and Firebeatz joining Big Sean as guests on the album for a release that appears set to dominate the airwaves and the charts alike in coming months. Full of scantily clad women, fast cars and firearms the video to ‘Open Wide’ provides a gratuitous nod to an uber-macho hedonistic lifestyle that we’re not embarrassed to admit occasionally made us feel more than a little uncomfortable. Check out the video for ‘yourself Wide’ below and see what you think.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
