Calvin Harris To Go Underground?



Where do you go after breaking chart records only held by the legendary pop star Michael Jackson and winning the prestigious Ivor Novello award for song writing? Well EDM and pop producer Calvin Harris has revealed his next move will be a complete change in musical direction for his upcoming material as he becomes less concerned about it making the higher echelons of the mainstream charts.

Yes it appears Calvin seems set to embark on a more ‘underground’ path as he revealed in a recent interview “I’m doing more dance music that probably won’t get into the charts, I was in the studio yesterday. I just want to make good music; this award is like drawing a line under the past two years where I’ve just been intensely fucking working to try and make singles and hit records.

It’ll be interesting to see how this sits with the Vegas scene which are reportedly paying Harris a small fortune for his work as a resident in Sin City as Calvin turns his back on the mainstream in the pursuit of making ‘good music’.
