Call Super Preps Debut Album

Rob Booth’s original Electronic Explorations (EE) podcast series has for many people been a vital discovery ground over the years for people interested in amazing, underground electronic music. His taste is varied and eclectic championing things as diverse as industrial techno, electronica/IDM, dubstep, garage and everything in between in the process becoming the tastemaker’s tastemaker.

His influence has been particularly felt over the last 18 months or so with his curatorship of Fabric’s in house, artist led label Houndstooth – the label that gave us pseudo jungle of  Special Request’s ‘Soul Music’, the weighty, dark and clinical Akkord’s eponymous debut LP, King Cannibal’s rebirth as House of Black Lanterns, and perhaps most noticeably the debut album from Throwing Snow, Mosaic.  Now the label has excitingly revealed plans to release the album of another fast rising star in Call Super. Titled Suzi Ecto the producers first LP is scheduled to arrive September 15 and features 11 new cuts that move away from the dancefloor and showcase the more experimental side of Call Super’s work in the studio.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
