Good news for fans of the enigmatic and so far anonymous bass music producer Burial as seemingly out of nowhere, he has revealed that he will be releasing new material this December.

Details of the release typically remain scarce but what we can confirm is that the new EP will contain three new tracks with a running time of 28 minutes and will be seeing hitting shelves as a 180g 12″ vinyl, jewel-case CD, in addition to being available as digital download.

Set for release on Hyperdub, this news generated more than a little sense of de ja vu in the office this morning due to the announcements startlingly similarity to Burial surprisingly announcing and EP at almost exactly the same time last year. Quite what the motivation is behind this (if any) we’re unsure of although we wouldn’t mind  if it became a festive theme for years to come! We guess Burial, whoever he is has to pay for those Christmas presents somehow…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
