Everybody loves blondes right? Well In the last few years we’ve become even more of a fan of the fair, well ish as Canadian born London based duo Blond:ish have captured our attention with their unique production recipe which focuses on the art of creating music that is organic and multi-dimensional. Provocative basslines contrast with smooth textures and haunting vocals to defy categorization as anything other than cool.

So with a big year behind them and even bigger 2013 planned with an extensive set of tour dates including Flying Circus in Ibiza and the Chicago leg of the Electric Daisy Carnival, things certainly seem to be looking up for the duo.  Quirky and innovative, very much like their native city of Montreal and the organized chaos that have accompanied their sets there since they burst onto the scene with their acclaimed residency at the city’s Cherry Club, we are pleased to confirm the duo will be following up one of last years most acclaimed releases on Kompakt, the ‘Lovers in Limbo’ EP with a fresh effort entitled ‘Inward Visions’ set to drop on the Cologne based label on July 22nd. A much darker inverted version of the style so often utilized to such great affect by the girls, we’ve given ‘Inward Visions’ a listen already and think that it may be one of the sleeper hits of the summer.

Can’t wait until next month? Then check out the stunning mix that Blond:ish delivered exclusively for us below

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
