Fans of the Swedish House Mafia rejoice. It might not be quite the reunion that many of you were hoping for but the next best thing as former members Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell have hooked up for a new collaborative album under the name Axwell Λ Ingrosso.

The pairing are set to unveil their new collaborative work at the Governor’s Ball in New York on June 8 whilst Radio 1 jock Zane Lowe premiered their new intro music on latest show. Fans of the two Swedes will be pleased to know that the new partnership seems to have been formed with a set of long term plans in mind with both artists merging their considerable Facebook pages (which these days seems to be as big a commitment as as marriage) into one page under the heading Axwell Λ Ingrosso.

Further details of the album remain scarce but the two producers have said that the work is mostly complete and should see release by the end of the year.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
