Several weeks ago afternoon Sascha Ring, better known by his musical moniker of Apparat and as one third of the band Moderat unfortunately had a motorcycle accident in Berlin. We were happy to announce that given the circumstances, Sascha and his girlfriend – who was with him at the time – were both doing well and expected to make a full recovery.  However, despite Sascha sustaining a complicated multiple leg fracture that has impeded his mobility greatly over the past few weeks the innovative producer has decided to use the time productively building a small bedroom studio to experiment with new sounds.  Speaking on his recover the producer revealed that he has been “amazed” by his recovery thus far despite four weeks on from the accident having “no way of making a single step without crutches” .

Uploading a photo to instagram of his new bedroom set-up it’ll be interesting to see if he discovers or embarks on any new projects whilst going through what we imagine to be one of the more difficult parts of his life. Now that would be a triumph over adversity! Get well soon Sascha!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
