ADE Playground Gear Program Revealed

ade2014.jpgThe Amsterdam Dance Event is back for its 19th year, bringing together music, art and film in a hub of European electronic culture. From October 15th-19th, the Flemish Cultural Centre “De Brakke Grond” will play host to the ADE Playground Gear program, offering master classes, workshops and demonstrations from the likes of Native Instruments, Ableton and Waves.Running alongside this will be the ADE MusicTalks series, featuring discussions with internationally-renowned film composer Hans Zimmer, Boy George and Junkie XL.As for the music itself, the ADE Festival has already racked up an impressive roster, including Adam Beyer, Hardwell, Chase & Status, Nina Kraviz and the legendary Robert Hood, to name but a few.Over the past 18 years, the ADE has become recognised as a globally significant event in the electronic music calendar. Bringing together artists from across the spectrum, along with the latest technology and of course the fans, the event is famous for sparking creativity, guiding cultural trends and most of all, putting on one hell of a show. Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
