Actress Announces Surprise EP

We can think of few albums that have generated as much hype as Actress’ ‘Ghettoville’ did without a huge and expensively assembled PR machine rolling behind it. But then again Actress isn’t exactly like most other artists with the enigmatic producer ostensibly shunning the limelight and preferring to let his music do the talking.

‘Ghettoville’ represented Actress’ fourth full studio effort and ramped up the excitement levels amongst fans when his label announced that it would be his final release under the Actress moniker.

Well the retirement of the alias appears to have been at least put on hold as we’re pleased to reveal that Actress, real name Darren Cunningham has announced a surprise EP under the moniker is set to land on his Werkdiscs imprint. A four track effort entitled the Xoul EP, little else is known about the release other than it will arrive as a limited 500 edition vinyl run next week. Colour us excited.
