Tim Green give us ‘For A Memory’

Tim Green is back with another brace of club tunes including ‘For a Memory’ & ‘For A Distant Memory’ coming out on Lee Burridge’s label Get Weird.

We really like the stirring opener ‘For A Memory’ here at Data Transmission, it’s eleven minutes of wordless and intoxicating female vocals, slick rubbery drums and plunging bass. The overall effect is hypnotic, rolling and perfectly groovy, and it will no doubt have whole dancefloors locked under its spell. Some little melodic explosions, sweeping filters and luscious pads all help add a real air of grace to proceedings that mark it out as another classic from Green (check it out below).

‘For A Distant Memory’ is a subtle but noteworthy reworking of the same cut. In this one, the drums are less direct and more stripped back, there is a focus on the angelic, glowing pads and on spine tingling slices of synth that are reflective and emotive as they drop in and out.
