Chicago lyricist Dave Giles II and New York multi-instrumentalist and DJ, Sam O.B., aka Dave + Sam, release their latest single “Love Feels,” out now via Moodswing Music.
Love Feels marks Dave + Sam’s first release, since their debut album “No Shade” on Classic/Defected. Dave Giles’ effortless freestyle flow layered over Sam’s Chicago House influenced retro beat, makes for a Summer anthem, promoting positivity, love and enlightenment.
Love Feels was designed to be honest, warm, enjoyable on the surface and enlightening upon further listening. This was the first record we tracked after finishing No Shade. It set the tone for everything that followed. Our newer records are intended to showcase a broad spectrum of what it means to be a survivor in today’s world. Love Feels particularly speaks to our collective need for affirmation and meaningful connections. – Dave + Sam
In addition to their single release, Dave Giles is also a co-writer and a performer on the track Cozy off of Beyonce‘s album Renaissance. A few words below from Dave exclusive to DT, on how he landed on the biggest dance album of the year:
Shout out to Luke Solomon, he brought me and our good homie Cor.ece in to write on songs he was producing with Honey Dijon & Chris Penny. Later, he calls and says those songs were played for the biggest artist in the world, and she likes my lyrics on one of the songs. He had notes and I understood the assignment. – Dave Giles II
