Dateless ‘El Grupo’ [Thanks For Sending]

Share

Dateless launches new label Thanks For Sending with his ‘El Grupo’ EP, backed by remixes from ItaloBros and DJ Fronter.

A growing name within electronic music, DJ and producer Dateless has caught the attention of established artists such as Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, Steve Lawler and Riva Starr, while releasing material via Hot Creations, Circus, VIVa MUSiC and Hottrax. A new label concept from the Los Angeles-based talent, November welcomes ‘Thanks For Sending’, an imprint with a mission to acknowledge the struggles of emerging talent in the industry by simply saying ‘Thank You’ and showcasing their finest productions. The first release sees four tracks from the label boss across his ‘El Grupo’ EP, backed by remixes from ItaloBros and DJ Fronter.

A stripped-back, immersive affair with Latin vocal snippets, evolving melodies and organic percussion, ‘El Grupo’ reveals a slick, rolling opener. ItaloBros’ interpretation proceeds with shimmering pads, icy hats and a sensual bassline to get listeners moving, while DJ Fronter’s remix is an energetic addition with resonant stabs and swinging low-ends. To close, Dateless returns with his dubbed out, ‘Minimal Edit’ of DJ Fronter’s version, shaping up an impressive first offering from the label.

‘’grat·i·tude (noun) – the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.’’

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
