Renowned for his melodic and emotional excursions with Tronic, Bedrock and Ideal Audio, Dutchman Rob Hes moves into the darker shadows of the dancefloor on his latest release and debut for Dubfire’s SCI+TEC imprint, The Prophecy.
The EP is a three track selection of raw, tough and pulsating grooves that opens with the mysterious and spooky tones of the title track. The air of suspense continues in High Tech Ritual with its growling bass and simple echoing percussion, before final cut Trapeze sees Rob join forces with Noraj Cue to dangle us feet first from their swinging, drum-laden groove.
A strong collection of stripped back techno that shows a quite different side to the flamboyant producer.
