roBOt festival announces first 10 names

roBOt – Digital Paths into Music and Art – is an international festival dedicated to electronic music and digital arts which takes place every autumn in Bologna, Italy. Now, going into its eighth edition has announced the first 10 names that will make up this year event, running from October 7th – 10th 2015 in Bologna.

Among the announced artists we point out Squarepusher considered as one of the greatest prodigies in the electronic scene for two decades now, for roBOt08 he’s preparing a project where drum’n’bass, acid house and jazz are insanely and brilliantly accelerated; Powell, one of the most incandescent talents of techno music Clark (check out his 5 Steps piece),  presenting a psychedelic and dazed live techno set.

Among the dj-set there will be Trentmoller who takes a break from his Live Show for a very rare DJ Set, Data Transmission No 1 DJ Nina Kraviz  and last years winner techno and house dj, Ben UFO.

The collaboration between roBOt Festival and Red Bull Music Academy has also been confirmed for this eighth edition, which like last year will have be given a separate stage including duo Sherwood & Pinch, Evian Christ, Nathan Fake and Data Transmission fave Levon Vincent, a New Yorker-turned-Berliner, the most intransigent soldier of club culture.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
