The collective of art, music, and vibe by the name of KOLEKTi transcended in July of 2014 when founder Elon Admony (formerly of Resolute) felt it was time the underground scene received a face lift and showcased something more than its’ fashionable dark side. The focus on art and organic sound was put forth and a family was born with a multitude of artists and contributors. To keep it light and fun, small nuances such as bubbles and smoothies are present to preserve Elon’s vision. Old school house and techno elements from Chicago and Detroit help maintain a fluidity of energy on the dance floor.
A term most often used to describe the pleasant lingering of warm weather after the summer months come to a close, Indian Summer is the final installation of KOLEKTi’s summer series celebrating their one year anniversary. The chill air will dance about the New York City skyline as KOLEKTi’s eclectic cast of artists take to the decks on October 3rd to champion the latest release on Touch of Class Records, ‘Indian Summer: Volume Two’.
Wolf & Lamb, Pillowtalk (Live), Terrence Parker, Tone of Arc (Live), Pattern Drama, Signal Flow, and many more will kick off this event at 10pm at a secret location in Brooklyn. The extravagant array of KOLLEKTi’s artists will bid adieu to our beloved summer and set the tone for the months to come.
