On November 8th 2014, Regenerate created history on Mumbai’s party scene with the city’s very first open-air deep house event. The bi-annual event takes place right in the heart of Mumbai city, at one of its most picturesque venues, The Bombay Presidency Radio Club pier.
The Pier is a narrow stretch of land overlooking the Arabian Sea with a backdrop of the city’s most iconic landmarks, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and the Gateway of India. All perfect accompaniments to wondrous music from some of the finest talent’s on our artist roster, and from around India.
After 2 massively successful “Pier” events in a row, Regenerate is now back, right at the start of Festival season. This time, however, they’ve added a bit of twist. They’re celebrating Halloween “By The Pier”. Their first themed pier party will have everything the pier events are widely known for, viz., the gorgeous music, the breath taking view, the dazzling surroundings, and the electric vibe, with the addition of spooky décor and production to bring in the Halloween flavour. Never before has the city seen a Halloween party celebrated at such a grand scale, and the newest edition of By The Pier intends to deliver on that very notion.
The third edition of By The Pier comes with not 1, not 2, but 3 internationally acclaimed acts. The first act, Sunju Hargun, is a widely acclaimed DJ in Bangkok, Thailand. Having spent the past 13 years establishing a place for himself in Bangkok’s Music Scene, he’s helped some of the city’s venues like Glow Nightclub & Grease, develop into the city’s go- to underground spots. The second artist on offer is no stranger to the underground music scene in Mumbai. Greg Pidcock, spent most of his developmental years travelling the globe, and he’s spent a fair amount of his youth in India, having played a pivotal role in the birth of the country’s deep house scene. Pidcock joined the international scene after releasing his first single with Hot Creations in 2013. Since then he’s played at some of the leading parties in the world, including sets at DC10 in Ibiza and Detroit for the infamous Circoloco. From WMC to the BPM Festival, Greg’s colourful and playful style has been making its mark on dance floors wherever he goes.
The third international act, Russ Yallop, While some producers spend years finding their feet, Russ blew minds away with I Can’t Wait his debut release on Crosstown Rebels, supported across the spectrum by some of the biggest acts like Jamie Jones and MANDY.
