Arcadia Spectacular Bristol

On the 4th and 5th of September 2015, Arcadia Spectcular will be landing in the centre of Bristol. Unifying a community of all backgrounds, ages, beliefs and ideals, Arcadia Bristol will be an unforgettable chapter in Bristol’s vibrant cultural story.

Arcadia’s iconic Spider will awaken amongst the histories and traditions of Queen Square, uniting sustainable ideas with art and music in a seminal moment of spectacle. Built in Bristol from recycled military hardware and forged into a celebratory arena, the Spider’s full spectrum of artistry will be unleashed.

The new ‘Metamorphosis’ show is being brought to Bristol as part of the city’s year as European Green Capital. It will see the conversion of Arcadia’s signature flames to biofuel – creating the world’s first recycled fuel pyrotechnics system.

The show will harness every creative element within Arcadia. Fusing sculpture, innovative recycling. aerial performance, robotics, theatre, engineering, electricity, frequency, and immersion into a vivid sensory matrix, Metamorphosis channels a mythology of transformation for the 21st century.
