KiNK Presents Soundcheck at E1
Share
For the first time ever in one night, KiNK will perform his infamous Live show and then go on to perform a drum & bass DJ set in E1‘s Dark Studio at KiNK Presents Soundcheck. Whilst many know KiNK for his incredible showmanship, playful house and techno productions, and his warm nature and popularity, what they may not know is that he has a deep love of jungle and drum & bass. Taking place on 9th May this is a show that is not to be missed!
KiNK’s earliest exposure to dance music was through pirated cassette tapes that he used to buy on the streets of Sofia, Bulgaria in the ’90s. Future Sound of London and Shy FX were some of his favourites and he spent hour upon hour listening to the signature drum and bass sound that was coming out of London in the ’90s.

Anyone who’s seen KiNK’s Live show or his RA Alternate Cuts Jungle set, will know just how special this is gonna be. Check out the video here
KiNK had the following to say about the concept…
“Hello everybody. I am very excited about this: I invited a few artists I admire to play with me in London in May. People who inspire me in many ways, with their music and beyond. I suggested to name the party “Soundcheck”, because during my rehearsals I’m free to just have fun – no pressure, no expectations. Only me and my music. Many friends told me that my soundcheck’s are more special than the actual gig, so I would like to invite everybody to my Soundcheck and I would like to inspire all the guests to be as free as they want to be.”
Joining KiNK, on the night is another one of the dance music’s most recognisable figures, Goldie. He’s at his best when he has time to tell his story, so he’ll be playing at Extended DJ set in the Dark Studio with the legendary MC GQ. In E1’s Warehouse, Goldie will present his newest creative project Subjective in partnership with James Davidson (one half of Ulterior Motive).

Headlining support in the Warehouse is one of the most masterful disc jockeys we know. Detroit legend DJ Bone. A DJ’s DJ who earned his respect within the scene, as a DJ first and foremost, whilst many others have gone down the production route. Playing in the bass orientated Dark Studio is an artist who through his time as Om Unit, has always drawn from various influences that include hip-hop, dubstep, ambient, jungle, footwork, techno and more. Also on the bill is resident DJ Nick Castle. Another special guest will be announced shortly. All we know right now is that she’s one of the most exciting producers to break through the UK dance scene in recent times.
