Hexa opens a portal with his ‘Wormhole’ EP on Phase Records DNB

Some artists ease their way onto a label. Others arrive like a bass-heavy meteor through the roof. The ‘Wormhole’ EP is very much the latter, as Hexa crash lands with his first full release on Phase Records DNB and immediately makes it clear this is where his sound belongs. No warm-up required. No soft launch. Just four tracks of raw, high-pressure Drum & Bass designed for dark rooms, sweating ceilings and systems pushed well past sensible limits.

Hexa is one of those names that sneaks up on you. You might not clock the alias straight away, but you will recognise the damage. With releases scattered across Trust Audio, TrES-2b, Neksus, Sofa Sounds, Incurzion, DeVice, Souped Up, and well beyond, Harry’s fingerprints are already all over modern Drum & Bass. His catalogue stretches deep into rollers, minimal, jump-up-leaning pressure and stripped-back club weapons, always with that unmistakable swing and low-end intent. Phase Records DNB now becomes a regular home for that sound, and it feels like a natural fit.

The ‘Wormhole’ EP does exactly what it says on the tin. It pulls the listener into a warped sonic dimension where groove and aggression happily coexist. The drums hit hard but stay loose, full of movement and that unmistakable acoustic feel Hexa is known for. Nothing feels overcooked. Everything snaps.
