SMP & Matt Freeman release on Fokuz Recordings

SMP who is formerly one half of duo Paramount is no stranger to the drum and bass scene. Passionate about soulful and meaningful music his sets will take you on an emotive trip through the sounds of the underground. SMP has made a big splash in a relatively short amount of time scoring releases on two of Intrigue’s high profile anniversary compilations as well as Fokuz, Context Audio and Celsius.

With a string of releases scheduled and some very exciting collaborations in the works, this year is set to be a big one for SMP, with many revered eyes watching this up and coming artist.

Next up for SMP is a new collaboration with Matt Freeman with a two-track EP. The two have worked together on several occasions now and it has become a really great pairing, these two could give LSB and DRS a run for their money in years to come. Today we premiere ‘Brighter Days On The Surface’ which is perfectly apt for the days we are currently experiencing. Beginning with some lovely piano chords and delicate rolling drums before Matt’s vocals kick in, it is beautifully soulful and totally mesmerising.
