Pixel Drops ‘Numbers Game // Minimal’ On CK Records And It’s Pure Sub Weight

Shropshire’s not exactly known for producing bass weight, but Pixel‘s about to change that story. Landing on CK Records on 30th July, ‘Numbers Game // Minimal’ is minimal on paper and maximum on the system, all low-end pressure and no filler.

Pixel’s been quietly putting in the graft, ten vinyl releases deep and counting, with sets taking him as far as Portugal and Romania. He’s clearly been paying attention to the greats too, you can hear traces of Calibre, DLR, Optical and Amoss in the DNA here, but this is Pixel’s own lane: raw, technical, and stripped right back to what matters.

‘Numbers Game’ opens with a no-nonsense stepper that nods hard to old school Jungle, Dillinja-esque in its swagger. Deep sub rumble, the odd growling mid bass rising up when you least expect it, and a breakdown that keeps the floor nodding while it waits for the drop to land. Big system music, made for the heads stood right by the speaker stack.

‘Minimal’ is the darker cousin. That intro alone should come with a warning label. The bassline doesn’t ask permission, it just rearranges the room, and somehow it feels exactly right. Menace with a groove, built for sweaty basements and rooftop comedowns alike.
