Hoofbeats Music kicks things off for 2023 with fresh local names Pe:Te and Magenta and their latest collaboration ‘Away’.
Another proof of the raw talent taking over the Czech and Slovak Drum & Bass scene right now, Hoofbeats Music are proud to welcome the names of the moment to the label. The rising star of local jump-up scene, Magenta, teams up with Prague-based producer Pe:Te to deliver a certified dancefloor anthem, defying the expectations and going all in.
Wistful harmonies and echoing hi-hats give way to the carefully used vocal sample and a rising bassline, bringing us to the straightforward drop that sets the scene on fire. Chopped-up synths and bass stabs are taking over the bodies in their path, leaving just enough room for the vocal to continuously keep coming back in, bringing some jazzy saxophone parts along.
Taking no prisoners, ‘Away’ keeps relentlessly rolling into infinity, seamlessly conquering our minds and bodies and moving them against our own will. Bittersweet yet catchy harmonies make this journey one to remember, setting the bar high from the get-go.
