Myth drops ‘Long Time Coming’EP on The North Quarter
Exciting Bristol-based artist Myth debuts on Amsterdam’s boutique imprint The North Quarter with his hard-hitting ‘Long Time Coming’ EP.
Myth‘s ‘Long Time Coming’ EP is both stripped-back and widescreen at the same time, the project captures the essence of the Dub and Jungle influences that are ingrained throughout the five-tracks. His undeniable technical prowess and ear for an effortless groove are on display here as he shows he’s one of the the brightest talents in the scene today.
“I think with any debut EP for a label your main aim is to showcase a spectrum of your sound and to try and make an impact so that you stand out from the other artists. With this EP I went for some straight forward club tracks with a couple of more abstract ones that still have enough energy.” – Myth
This new release from Myth follows a recent collaboration with Zero T on his ‘Former Self‘ EP. This dropped on The North Quarter in July of this year and was really well received by both fans and trailblazing artists. One half of Ill Truth, Myth’s level of production over the last couple of years has been nothing short of incredible. He’s seen releases on CIA Records and Lockdown Recordings, 31 Records, Trust Audio and Subtitles and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Bagging a solo release on The North Quarter is no mean feat and a great move for Myth. It will undoubtedly propel his career to the next level. And in my opinion would be fully deserved!
