MJD drops new single ‘Psionics’ on MJD:R

Hailing from Bedford UK but now based in Southampton, MJD has previously released on the likes of Citate Forms and Lifestyle Music before launching his own independent Drum & Bass label MJD:Recordings in 2017.

Heavily influenced by the underground sound of the late ‘90’s and early 2000’s, MJD:R is a label that caters for techstep, neuro-funk and deep liquid sounds. The label has had support from an array of names including René LaVice, Cause 4 Concern, Jumpin’ Jack Frost, Kolectiv, Logan D,  Source Direct, Spirit and Taelimb to name a few. They’ve also had publication and radio support from BBC Radio 1Xtra, DJ Mag, DnB Dojo. FAZEmag, JungleDNB, KISS FM, Knowledge Mag, KOOL FM, Mixmag, NakedBeatz, Ninja Ninja DnB and Notorious FM.

Now, label head MJD returns with his imprints 9th release in the shape of sonorous stepper ‘Psionics’. Phantasmal vocals and unearthly FX act as guides through the sparse introduction before the unforgiving thunderous bass and organic stabs land, locking the listener into the tracks militant, hard-step groove. So far, the track has garnered excellent support across the board including the likes of Doc Scott, Miss Represent, DJ Code and Bass Brothers
