Meraki drops his ‘Need You’ Remix EP on 3000 Bass

Now, this one has been a very long time coming, with the catalogue at 3000 Bass constantly expanding, but they are absolutely thrilled to finally be bringing us the official remix collection for Meraki‘s ‘Need You’. For a bit of context, this was without a shadow of a doubt one of 3000 Bass‘ strongest projects to drop in 2020 with over 500k streams to date and support from DJ EZ, Skepsis, Cajama and more, so of course, they had to assemble a number of the 3000 Bass faithfuls to provide official recreations. In total there are seven overhauls, (along with the original mix of course), all boasting some incredible ideas and forward-thinking sound design.

We begin our journey by taking in rising star and Crucast regular Cooky‘s recreation, which immediately adapts those original features into a super-sidechained big boom UK Bass bang.

This is quickly followed by another well-known name within 3000 Bass‘ particular area of bass music, Primitive UK affiliate Eloquin. His offering is a much more stripped back, tech-house influenced design, driving the tracklisting down an entirely different avenue.

The pace then begins to quicken once more as Jacko ramps up the synthetic energy with his remix, before Damzy adds some more euphoric flavours to the blend with another stadium-ready refit.

The pressure is definitely elevating at this point as we now move into Bookey’s edit, which alternate’s the format of the track in more ways than one into a rave-ready Jump Up chomper.

Keeping up the tempo, this is followed closely by Burt Cope‘s explosive Drum & Bass overhaul, which also packs one hell of a punch.

Finally, we finish up with the Meraki VIP mix, in which the Bristol native adds an extra degree of spice to the original for an incredibly powerful final push.

Today we premiere Bookey’s remix which is an absolute weapon and definitely one for the Jump Up crew! Check it out below. Meraki’s ‘Need You’ Remix EP drops on Friday 18th June and is available for you to grab via the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player!
