In an industry often overshadowed by established names, Evolution Chamber stands out with its unwavering mission to unearth and proudly exhibit the next wave of musical talent. The ‘Transmissions’ series stands as a testament to the label’s dedication to innovation and its commitment to providing a platform for emerging artists to amplify their voices on a global scale.
Embarking on its maiden voyage, this inaugural instalment of the series presents a diverse collective of artists hailing from every corner of the globe, each contributing their distinct and unparalleled sonic imprint. Leading the charge is Hungarian newcomer HRSPX, introducing listeners to the twisted yet melodious realms of ‘Gynura’. Following suit, the collaborative efforts of Impex and Konquest from Portugal and Britain deliver the eagerly anticipated vocal anthem ‘Sin Sister’, showcasing a fusion of cultural influences and musical prowess.
Adding to the eclectic mix, young Serbian prodigy OMNEUM makes his mark with the intricately crafted, glitch-infused beats of ‘Blade Dance’, demonstrating a mastery of musical complexity. Meanwhile, Russia’s very own TNTKLZ brings forth a relentless onslaught of energy with the electrifying slammer ‘Failed Mechanics’, igniting dancefloors with its high-octane intensity. And from the lush landscapes of New Zealand, Victim offers a glimpse into the depths of darkness with the brooding roller ‘1000 Faces’, encapsulating the essence of the Southern Hemisphere’s underground sound.
‘Transmissions’ heralds a new era for Evolution Chamber, marking the dawn of a fresh chapter for the label as it steadfastly marches forward on its evolutionary journey, shaping the future landscape of Drum & Bass one groundbreaking release at a time.
With Evolution Chamber’s ethos being quite similar to our own, where we try and shine a light on up-and-comers, this week we’ve done 2 premieres for this release. Yesterday we premiered OMNEUM ‘Blade Dance’ which you can check out below.
Hailing from the vibrant city of Novi Sad, Serbia, Stefan Hemon also known as OMNEUM, is the creative force driving the music forward. Drawing from years of experimentation and immersion in electronic music and sound, the 24-year-old producer showcases a mastery of his craft, consistently delivering dystopian yet emotive melodies with every track.
Inspired by the likes of Noisia, Magnetude, Mefjus, and others, OMNEUM is driven by a singular mission: to create music that resonates on a deeply emotional level. With a relentless pursuit of sonic excellence, he seeks to leave an indelible mark on listeners, crafting compositions that evoke profound feelings and make a lasting impact.
Today we premiere Victim ‘1000 Faces’ which is below.
Victim, also known as Tim Riley, discovered his passion for drum & bass in 2007 after being introduced to the music of heavyweights like Phace, Misanthrop, Noisia, and Teebee. Immersed in the releases from labels such as Subtitles, Vision, and Shadow Law, he found himself drawn to the magnetic allure of spinning vinyl. In 2009, Tim’s dream of producing drum & bass became a reality, igniting a creative spark that continues to burn brightly to this day.
Since 2014, Tim has collaborated with other dance-floor luminaries like Dose, releasing solo EPs on renowned Dutch label Citrus Recordings. His talent caught the attention of industry giants Noisia, leading to the inclusion of ‘Alien Trader ft. Njin’ on the Vision compilation ‘Mission’ series, marking a significant milestone in his career. But that was just the beginning. Since then, Victim has signed with an impressive array of labels, including C4C Ltd, Bad Taste (under the alias Instinkt), ProgRam, Red Light Records, Kill Tomorrow, Terra Firma, Lifestyle Music UK, and T3K Recordings, solidifying his reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the drum & bass scene.
