JOBU makes his SOUP debut with Devon James on Remix

Leeds based House Head, JOBU, makes his SOUP debut with a funky throwback joint for disco-infused dance floors. Devon James makes his third appearance on the label, his first as a remixer, flipping the original into a minimal chugger that builds up into a funky-tech frenzy.

Incredible versatility behind the decks, impeccable prowess in the studio and unbridled passion for creating and exposing new art. All three of these things come to mind when you hear the name, Devon James.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts to a family deeply rooted in music that flouts the mainstream, it is no surprise that Devon is now one of the most influential and recognized names in the underground dance music industry. His undeniable style and his increasingly impressive DJ skills have landed him spots playing in support of legendary artists including Kerri Chandler, Moodymann, Derrick Carter, Kevin Saunderson, as well as modern icons like Chris Lake, Mija, Diplo and even a 3-hour B2B2B with Skream and Dennis Ferrer.

Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, James is still expanding his influence in the arts, particularly in underground dance music. Devon is the active label manager for Golf Clap’s Country Club Disco and co-founder of RVDIOVCTIVE, a multi-media artist collective that curates event across the county.
