Founder and manager of A R Records, Bristol-based Exposure is a producer and DJ with formidable talent and a thirst for all things Drum and Bass.
Exposure’s journey has already taken him far. He’s played at renowned club nights like Nottingham’s famous Detonate as well as a whole host of other events and festivals including Boomtown, Shambala, El Dorado and Illusive. In Brisbane, under his ‘Rescued’ club brand, Exposure was host to some of the scene’s biggest DJs and MCs including Andy C & MC GQ, Friction & SP:MC, Marky, Fierce and State of Mind, to name but a few.
Exposure’s DJ sets are full of energy and span the full spectrum of Drum and Bass. With fast lightning and varied mixing on 3 or more turntables, he drops fresh unheard dubplates to classics that you haven’t heard for years. Exposure takes his name from his style of seamlessly blending between the hard and the dark, through to the soft and light, taking you on a journey through everything in between.
Having immersed himself in the studio, Exposure’s tunes have gone from strength to strength and a unique sound is now developing. The influence of Drum and Bass dons like Break, Calyx and Calibre is audible, with heavy rolling beats and big basslines, while maintaining a real musical vibe and flow from start to finish.
Now living in his hometown of Bristol, he has set up A R Records as a platform to showcase his own music, as well as established and up-and-coming artists. He has also put on shows in Bristol under the A R banner and hosted the likes of Bad Company UK, Artificial Intelligence, Fourward, Gridlok, Break and many more, as well as having taken the brand on the road across the UK with takeovers at Shambala Festival and Let It Roll at O2 Brixton Academy.

His debut release ‘Delicate Lives’ feat Sula Mae/ Sacrifice received critical acclaim within the scene. The follow up ‘Regrets’ feat Mark Douglas was released as the B-side of a vinyl with Break – ‘Solvent’ on the A-side on A R Records. In 2017 he remixed ‘Knightly’ by The Inexplicables which featured on their ‘Propaganda remix album’. In 2018 his track ‘Gone Cold’ featured as part of Addictive Behaviour’s 5 year compilation album. 2019 has seen a collaboration with Akov entitled ‘The Rapture’ being released on a vinyl on Bad Taste Recordings.
Now, Exposure releases his 6 track ‘Light and Dark’ EP which drops 20th December on A R Records. The EP showcases the diverse range of Drum and Bass that he produces. Covering themes that cast attention to the current global political climate, ‘Light & Dark’ explores the challenges faced by humanity, the duality between good and evil and the increasingly volatile future of the planet. Our premiere today is ‘Changes’ which features the vocal talents of Sula Mae. Uplifting nuances, liquid vibes, rolling drums along with an airey vocal make this track absolutely sublime!
