Daniel Orpi drops ‘Hypnotised’ ft. Rayir on Boogeyman

Share

Daniel Orpi serves up a brilliant brace of new tunes including ‘Hypnotised’ featuring Rayir on Boogeyman to show why he is one of the men of the moment.

Making waves all the way from Barcelona, London-based Daniel Orpi is a fresh addition to the underground scene. He has dropped plenty of Beatport chart toppers on labels like Four-Thirty-Two, Elrow Music and Whippin’ Recs and also runs his own label Diggin’.

‘Hypnotized’ kicks off with a slinky tech groove defined by its nimble drums. Warming bass rolls deep and some cool as-you-like rapped vocals bring streetwise swagger to this freshest and new school of sounds. A dub mix strips out the vocal while ‘Baile Lento’ then explores a heady and slightly trippy house vibe with swirling neon pads and late-night sensuality.

These are two more vital cuts from Daniel Orpi. We premiere ‘Hypnotised’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
