Crossbow keeps it lean on OFF Recordings

Crossbow returns to OFF Recordings on 5th June with ‘Heartbreaker’, a tightly wound two-track release from a proper DT favourite.

The Brooklyn artist comes from a deeply musical background as a singer, songwriter and guitarist, but her focus now sits firmly in the darker corners of dance music. That history still matters though. You can hear it in the way she builds tension, in the small melodic details, and in the instinctive pull of the groove.

Her sound has always had that moody but playful edge. Driving kick drums, jumpy basslines, metallic synth work and a taste for the darker stuff, all shaped with a real feel for rhythm and pressure. It is techno with muscle, but it still moves.

‘Heartbreaker’ keeps things stripped and direct. Weighty low end rolls under crisp percussion, while the drums stay locked and purposeful. Nothing is wasted. It is built for foggy underground rooms, late-night Brooklyn warehouses and those peak-time moments when the floor does not need much talking to.

We premiere ‘Heartbreaker’ on NUDE Techno today. Turn it up, then grab it from 5th June.
