Convex debuts on Rebel Music
South London’s Convex brings his own style to Rebel Music for this debut release. A crisp, clean, modern sound delving deep into the futuristic funk. Full of energy and built for the dance floor.
Convex is a name not too many of you will be familiar with yet, that is not to say you shouldn’t know it. Convex aka George Burrell is 27 years old and was born and raised in Devon. He started DJing at the age of 19 and played for Portsmouth promoters “UP” and had a residency at Portsmouth University Events.
In 2015 George moved to London and became resident DJ for Two Six One at Brixton Jam. Going forward you can expect to catch him at some forthcoming Rebel Music events when we’re allowed to rave again! Fear not, we will bring you more information and keep you updated on this as time goes on.
Convex has made some really great bootlegs recently. In particular his booty of Billie Eilish’s ‘When The Party’s Over’, which he gave away as a free download, has seen close to 8k plays on Soundcloud in the first month…not too shabby for a relatively unknown artist!
Now he makes his debut on Rebel Music with his ‘Escape Velocity’ EP. Made up of four massive tracks for the underground. Today we premiere the title track which starts off as it means to go on with some heavy synths and soundscapes before the rolling drums and bass kick in. My recommendation…Play. This. LOUD!!!!!
Convex drops his ‘Escape Velocity’ on Rebel Music on 6th April. Check out our premiere below and please support the artist and record label by grabbing a copy of the EP from here
