Carlo Ruetz returns to RUKUS with ‘Dimensions’

Carlo Ruetz makes a welcome return to RUKUS with his five-tracker ‘Dimensions’.

By 2013, Carlo Ruetz had been playing twisted technoid minimal for a decade, but it was his debut LP of that year ‘Breakthrough’ that launched him into the spotlight. Within 24 hours of its release the album crashed into the top spot of Beatport’s minimal techno chart, and it also caught the discerning ear of Richie Hawtin.

Hot on the heels of last year’s phenomenal ‘Creatures’ EP, the German producer delivers another tightly woven techno stomper.  A true craftsman, he challenges himself at every turn, yet never compromises on quality, and this EP is a captivating, forward-thinking journey to the dance floor. Our debut transmission ‘Obscure’, a much more giddy affair, is punctuated with moonlit, urban staccato notes and 909 hats.

‘Dimensions’ drops on RUKUS on Friday 4th May, check out ‘Obscure’ below and grab the EP here.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
