Transmission Is coming to Manchester

transmissionmcr.jpg   Launching on Friday 23rd January 2015, Manchester’s Albert Hall welcomes  Transmission   A new series brought to you by The Warehouse Project, Drop The Mustard, Chibuku, Circus, Metropolis, Now Wave, Kaluki, Sounds Of The Near Future & TROF, across four months of events from January into March immaculately programmed shows running until April 2015 at the iconic Grade II listed venue. Transmission will be the first series of it’s kind in the 100 year old hall, bringing a full range of international DJs to the Manchester stage, all set against a stunning backdrop which includes a huge traditional organ and an ethereal light that beams through the stain glass windows around the venue.   David Rodigan and Steve Lawler are the leading lights of the opening weekend as they bring Ram Jam and Viva Warriors respectively, with further highlights to come from Drum Code, Cuff Records, Steve Aoki, Yousef, Hessle Audio, Hospitality, Duke Dumont, Hot Since 82, Zutekh, Underworld LIVE, Andy C, Hannah Wants, Heidi, Carl Cox, Masters At Work and Above & Beyond. Lee Spence, Head of Programming for the Trof Group said: “Albert Hall and partners have curated four months of incredible line-ups that will secure the venues place in Manchester’s rich clubbing history for many years to come“. Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
