Night Moves is a concept to unite the veteran San Francisco house music vibes with emerging sounds of modern funk, nu-disco, deep house, and moombahsoul. If you imagine classic Chicago Trax blended with the current Disco Boogie revival. On 7th June running from 21:00 – 04:00 at Monarch in San Francisco Night Moves bring you a very special night with Walker & Royce, J Boogie, Deejay Theory and you will also see Bryan Boogie going back to back with Papa Lu.

Sam Walker and Gavin Royce met over ten years ago at a loft party in Brooklyn: it was packed, the floor was sticky and house music was blaring out of the system. They fast became friends, though the studio was not their first endeavour together, but then back in 2011 the pair found themselves again working together, this time at NYC’s house stronghold, Nervous Records. Sam was helping with engineering and mastering, while Gavin was there to help do A&R for the daughter label Nurvous. Since all this exciting new music was being put in front of them, they decided to give remixing a shot. The reaction was immediately well received, and at that moment the pair knew that they really had something special. Since then they have released records on Crosstown Rebels, Glasgow Underground, Dither Down, Pets Recordings and more. You should nit be missing this night!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
