They promised us much more to come for Musika, so following a well deserved timeout, we return like in previous years tradition with an extra special event to celebrate The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This August, we team up with James Zabiela and his latest Born Eletric concept bringing you a line-up that really encompasses everything that Musika stands for; an open minded electronic aural feast. It shall also see us return to one of our most requested venues that has hosted some of our favourite parties over the years including events with the likes of Sasha, Laurent Garnier and Groove Armada – The Picture House.
Our co-headlining guest comes in the form of Turbo Recordings boss Tiga, who joins them for his first ever Saturday night appearance in the Capital, ever!! It’s hard to believe that the legendary Tiga has never played Edinburgh on a Saturday night, we personally feel deprived so have ensured this has finally been resolved. He is an absolute institution in the field of Electronic Music and his label Turbo Recordings is one of the most respected worldwide. Anyone who has caught him perform will allay to this mans dancefloor rocking credentials.
Joining him and playing host is Musika favourite James Zabiela. As resident at the mighty We Love… Party’s in Space Ibiza, for over 10 years; JZ has recently been handed the task of programming his own room at the fabled Sunday knees up. 2012 seen artists such as Modeselektor, Boddika & Eats Everything join him under the Born Electric tag, which with more dates planned for 2013 & beyond. As one of our favourite acts of all time, JZ has a knack of bringing his infectious personality across in his sets, and we can’t wait to see what surprises he has lined up for you all after a 2 year Musika hiatus…
We also welcome man of the moment George Fitzgerald. For anyone living under a rock for the past few years, George is part of the ground-breaking Hot Flush family, led by label boss Scuba. With some amazing releases under his belt such as ‘Child’ and ‘I can tell’, it’s very justified to say he is one the most exciting underground artists emerging in a time where the UK are easily back at the forefront of the international scene. George’s output brings together the warmer, melodic sides of house & garage with the more heated drum patterns of techno & dubstep.
If this isn’t enough for you then guess what, they have more to come! Their full lineup will be released once we hit 750 attending this event page…
