Fresh from the first batch of Alfa Remixes on Freund Der Familie comes another slew of edits, and while such tactics can sometimes be observed as overcooking the goose, there’s still more than enough going on here to warrant our attention. The German label cuts a thrilling 3 tracker of clued-in house here, with some of the scene’s most auspicious names taking turns to re-imagine tracks.

First up is Ornaments man Marko Fuerstenberg, who turns in a dramatic but considerate mix of ‘’’Monday’’ that’s full of spiky and hypnotic leanings. Sounding as if it’s ready to explode at any moment, it’s certainly one that’ll keep the audience enthralled throughout.

Achim Maerz then turns up with an ‘140 BPM Mix’ of ‘’Goldie Wilson’’ that’s wonderfully abstract and most definitely designed with the braver DJ in mind. Delve’s remix of ‘’Beyond Us’’ forces links with Shed’s most pummeling and unforgiving work of some years ago, thanks in the main to its whooshing synth action and its crackling, industrial motifs. A neat compliment to the merits of FDF01, on this basis, the series can run for as long as it likes.
