It’s no secret that we love the occasional piece of indie/electro here at DT. From Erol Alkan to Justice and Jaques Lu Cont we always enjoy good examples of the genre. Thus we’re delighted to present you today with an exclusive premiere of a new track from Manchester based outfit Futurecop! ahead of the release of their hotly anticipated album ‘Hopes, Dreams & Alienation’.
For those of you less familiar with the duo Manzur Iqbal and Peter Carrol met whilst studying at university quickly formed Futurecop! and began making banging electro tracks that drew inspiration from cult 80’s movie soundtracks, fantasy themes and video games which quickly made a name for themselves in Manchester’s vibrant electronic music scene. Think Kavinsky on acid, its our great pleasure to present to you the first tentative looks at the upcoming album which is getting serious support from Annie Mac, Crystal Castles and Diplo. So without further ado check out Misanthropist Wolf which showcases the boys darker edgier side, suffused by heavy bass line. Grab a copy below.
