European Festival Guide 2013

Dour Festival, 18-21st July, Dour, Belgium

If you love soaking up the atmosphere and enjoy anticipation, then check out this event one day early, on the 17th of June, for a camping warm up at the site, with cooking facilities, a bakery, shops and bars. With plenty of time to get excited about the acts, the organisers have planned a special line-up that won’t disappoint. Across eight stages, DJs, bands and festival favourites will showcase their talent over four days.

The diverse line-up starts with Wu-Tang Clan, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tomahawk and The Horrors, on the 18th of July, followed by The Vaccines, Rustie and Hatebreed on the 19th. A Pendulum DJ Set ignites the scene on the 20th, as well as Flying Lotus, whilst the final crescendo on Sunday the 21st of July sees London-based Kate Nash, Klaxons, Tryo and The Smashing Pumpkins take to the stage. Having gained a reputation for edginess and quality since its debut in 1989, Dour Festival is set to continue its great run and may just hit one out of the park this year.
