End of Summer Terrace Party

On Saturday 21st September running from 16:00 – 05:00, Ethnobling, Turf + Submit present an all day all night end of summer terrace party at Brixton Jamm, celebrating the end of the first great summer of this millennium…

After their monstrous ‘Midsummer Terrace Party’ at The Lambeth, with 1200 people through the doors, this collective of promoters from across the UK are pooling their resources to put on an extremely fun, all inclusive party spanning 13 hours, with terrace vibes, food, cocktails, glitter wrestling + festival fun during the day and an enormous line-up of afro, house, techno, funk, disco and new soul all night, with dancers, circus, face painting.

Alex Nut, head of Eglo Records (home of wonderkid Floating Points) appears along with Fatima and the full Eglo Live Band. Also performing live are Afriquoi, who have been killing it all over the UK this summer with their original mixture of African and UK dance elements, and the startlingly innovative Romare chopping up African + African American samples to make a sound totally his own

All this combined with an enormous line-up of DJs including the extremely hot DjRum who is finally getting the recognition he deserves, daddy of UK hi-hat Altered Natives , Boiler Room veteran Jon Rust, house pioneers AZ + TOR (recently signed to Kerri Chandler’s Madtech) + Cropper, and much much more.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
