Ed Banger Turns 10

Seminal and sometimes controversial Parisian label Ed Banger Records celebrates 10 years in business at London’s Forum with an all night party on the May bank holiday weekend.

Since the debut release by Mr Flash in March 2003, label boss Pedro ‘Busy P’ Winter and electronic cohorts have defined a sound and scene, propelled to global notoriety by the signing of the stadium filling Justice but there is a great deal more to the label than the distorted disco of Xavier and Gaspard,  as Busy P has also released oddities like Mickey Moonlight’s And The Time Axis Manipulation Corporation and Breakbot’s yacht rock pop which has seen the label grow into a broad experimental platform for a variety of artists from Boston Bun to legendary figures like Laurent Garnier. The London event looks to celebrate all things Ed Banger and they’ve brought out the big guns as Justice headline with support from Feadz, Breakbot and label boss Busy P himself this May Bank Holiday weekend with a new compilation in tow.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
