DOOS is the talented duo comprised of Daniel Berman and David Epstein. The pair have released plenty of music before now on different labels and under different guises but this is likely to be their most successful yet. It marks Svogue Muziq’s first EP of 2014 and is made of two meaty, fulsome house tracks with plenty of swagger.

Hookers & Dips is first and is a taught rigid bit of house with a stepping bassline, muffled distant voices and plenty of drum led drama. It’s a dark and muscular track for the more intense moments of the night and has a whip snapping synth line that brings plenty of dynamism to proceedings. Need You is the other jam on this two tracker and follows a similar path to the first. It’s tense, building tech house with taut basslines and robotic vocals that bring a sense of machine funk to the party. Effective tracks then, that confirm once again this pair really know how to make dancefloors take note.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
