Only truly great things last the test of time. While fashions and trends come and go those that stay true to themselves and the beliefs that make them strong last the distance. In terms of London’s fickle nightlife scene 8 years is an impressive stretch and has seen The Doctor’s Orders go from humble beginnings, throwing a bi-monthly party at the now defunct Herbal, to filling venues throughout the capital and beyond with line ups that have always included the great and the good of both home-grown and international talent.

From 21:00 – 03:30 on Friday 12th July at Plan B, the line up marking this landmark occasion is no exception with good friend of The Doctor’s Orders & founding member of the ‘world famous’ Beat Junkies DJ Babu joined by his partner in crime the incredible Rakaa Iriscience. Together they are the Expansion Team Soundsystem, represent two thirds of Dilated Peoples and are responsible for some of the best true school Hip-Hop of the last 15 years. As you would expect from any of the worlds best DJ crews DJ Babu is as skilled on the cut as he is rocking a party and is certain to be treating London to a very special set to mark the birthday of the party he has rocked more than any other in his years of travelling the globe. To make things go off with an even louder bang than usual he is joined by Rakaa Iriscience who will not only be hosting the set but spitting some of his best loved verses and a few freestyles to show why he is one of the best loved MCs of the modern age. As ever The Doctor’s Orders dream team of residents will be giving proceedings a little hometown flavour. From founder Spin Doctor and DMC Champ Mr Thing to the exciting talents of Chris P Cuts & Mo Fingaz you are guaranteed yet another legendary party from The Doctor’s Orders! So make sure you book your place at what is set to be an immense event!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
