Circa presents… Ingredients Records

Circa returns to Hidden on Saturday 18th May with one of drum and bass’ most forward-thinking labels, Ingredients Records. In its 4 years on the scene, the taste-driven label has continued to carry some of the scenes most exciting acts, as well as DnBs original champions and we offer you line up to prove it…

Heading the way on this special showcase is Digital & Spirit who return to the decks after a 6-year hiatus. Reforming again in 2013 to revive their seminal 1998 born label, Phantom Audio, there is no doubt that these two will be tearing up the dance floor for a hefty 90 minute set. One of the scenes most revered characters, Commix joins proceedings to bring us a highly sought after ‘Classic Commix’ set while masterful producer Skeptical will be bringing his selection of damaging yet delicate pieces to a back-to-back special with the newest collective on the deep, dark side – Ruffhouse. Rounding off proceedings for the Ingredients imprint is the technically excellent Xtrah and one of DnBs most exciting producers Villem. Circa favourites Bassline & Codebreaker are joined by Fokus to host us through to the early hours.

Whilst all this is going on Circa will be bringing in some of the scenes most refreshing producers Blocks & Escher to celebrate the cutting-edge side of the music that has been gaining a momentum of interest since the pair began their highly acclaimed label at the beginning of 2012. The pair are joined by Overlook, whose “Three Shards” has earned him critical acclaim. Circa residents SD, Holmes & Onna will once again be feeding our ears, bringing us the full circumference of DnB.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
