Chris Gresswell – Knowledge is Power

Chris Gresswell serves up his first EP, Knowledge Is Power, on the OD Music Group from Shanghai. There are three originals featuring plenty of great talents and three different remixes from Ariel Camuss, Bumpy Fool and Mike Sure & Paul Lawrence.

Opener Forever is a lovely bit of revivalist garage with reversed basslines and plenty of skipping shuffle. Clear Vision is another amped up garage bouncer with buffed basslines, snippets of vocal and plenty of diving chords. I Luv U gets fully unhinged, changing direction, ducking and diving for the duration with groaning basslines propping the whole thing up. Ariel Camusso’s remix strips back the Forever original somewhat but keeps things firmly in kicking garage territory, as do the other two remixes, ensuring that for garage lovers, this is an absolute must purchase.
