5 Facts, 5 Tracks from Reset Robot
Alan Fitzpatrick has started something with his imprint We Are The Brave – the selection of artists who have released on the label in the last 2 years shows his dedication to giving a home to the best underground music around for his loyal and dedicated fans. Club anthems come to mind, with tracks like Alan’s ‘We Do What We Want’, Gary Becks ‘Just One More’ and the recent smash hit ‘Poison’ from UK legend Skream.
They’ve had some cracking new releases from brand new artists, showcasing some of the best of the emerging talent out there. But this time around, they welcome back one of the label’s mainstays and Portsmouth local, Reset Robot with his ‘Aposiopesis’ EP.
To mark the release, we ask him to give us 5 Facts we didn’t know about him and 5 tracks he’s loving right now.
- I have a cat called Percy.
- I grow tomatoes in my garden.
- I find crumbs really annoying especially if they get into my bed (via toast or something).
- I use Reason to produce my music and have done since I started.
- I used to write music under my real name Dave Robertson.
I love this record and first heard it on a mix from Tini. It’s really good as a set starter or for changing the vibe in a room.
Stare5 ‘The Adverse Within’
Such a cool track. I love the music elements in this and the solid drums.
Michael Klein – Broken Keys (Heiko Laux Remix)
Absolutely smashed this over the summer. Such a good hypnotic groove! Goes OFF!
Developer – Lost Moments (Len Faki Remix)
This is towards the tougher end of the tracks that I play. I’m a huge fan of Len Faki and this has been in my sets for ages.
Kink – Yom Thorke
No words….just listen and you’ll know why this is in my top 5!
