390 – The Subs

Share

Normally when people think of Belgium, the first things that come to mind are beer, chocolates and perhaps more recently talented footballers. Here at Data Transmission however we think electronic music as for the last few years Belgium has served as a hotbed of creativity for aspiring artists with the likes of Locked Groove and Cupp Cave being just some of the acts to emerge from the nation in recent times.

We don’t know if there is something in the water, or perhaps something in the beer but what we do know is that Belgium circa 2014 is one of favourite places to be. Our latest jaunt across the Channel sees us nab the talents of Belgian dance outfit The Subs, who have been impressing with their new album ‘Hologram’ which we have thus far been unable to get out of our heads or off of our office playlist since it landed in our inbox. Showcasing a wide variety of influences from Hip Hop To UK Garage and House one listen in to the album we knew that this was a set of artists we needed to have on the podcast. Step forward The Subs.

This summer you can catch The Subs in Festival action at Belgiums Dour Festival this July 17th, for more information and tickets head to www.dourfestival.be
