Still recovering from the Easter weekend? Then fear not as we’ve got the perfect antidote for your post bank holiday blues with a fresh podcast straight from the German underground from Kassel based DJ & Producer Georgi Barrel.

Whilst it was Hip-Hop that introduced Georgi to production in 2008 it’s his love for House & Techno, which has thrust him into the spotlight for both his skills in the DJ booth and production studio. A self confessed vinyl junky and resident at Kassels underground main stage: A.R.M his ability to produce groovy underground music across the spectrum of electronic whilst maintaining his own strong signature style is evidence of his position at the vanguard of Germany´s electronic music scene.

With his sinnmusik* debut receiving support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Joyce Muniz, Shadow Child and many others we thought the time was right to invite Georgi Barrel to deliver one of his acclaimed mixes for us. Enjoy!

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…Just a bunch of records i like in one take.  What’s your personal favourite track on it? ‘Love Theme’ by two Armadillos. It’s an all time favorite of mine. What’s the special ingredient in this mix? A little bit of ‘Housey Salt’ with ‘Deep Pepper’ and a groove-smacked topping. What’s the best gig you’ve played recently? The best gig in a while was a couple of weeks ago alongside DJ Hell at my resident club, the A.R.M here in Kassel. What have you got coming up? Beginning of April i released a 12“ on sinnmusik* called ‘Late Nite Foray’ featuring 2 Originals and 2 remixes. Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
