Mix of the Day: Sean Branton

In 2015 Sean Branton’s dedication to his art came to fruition after his track ‘Right Back’ (which had been thoroughly road tested by Jamie Jones and Richy Ahmed) was signed to the Hot Creations ‘Hot Summer Jams 2’ compilation.

2016 was equally productive with Sean securing residency at leading Brighton venue The Arch and heading up the powerful promotion Oberres, rubbing shoulders with headliners such as Pete tong, Fatboy Slim, Richy Ahmed, Patrick Topping and Eats Everything. Running parallel to Oberres was Sean’s focus in the studio, crafting a plethora of new dance floor cuts thus moving his sound forward.

This year shows more natural progression with the launch of Sean’s physical imprint Virtue Records, where the first release ‘Night Mode EP’ and Sean’s ‘Decision Maker’ EP which dropped on Electronique gained support from Hot Since 82 & Steve Lawyer.

His Lucky Nights Series gained support from Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna + more. Sean’s Natural Rhythm release saw Marco Carola playing “Juncture” out all summer.

With a backlog of music, Sean Branton is one to watch.
