Spotlight Mix: Ben Grainger

Share

Raised in the small city of Lichfield in the West Midlands (UK), Ben Grainger took early inspiration from the likes of Birmingham selectors Tom Shorterz, Pete Graham & Dr Love, incorporating the shared love of wide musical variety and versatility into his own sets, which he first put out as a mini-mix series back in 2016. But it wasn’t until his move to Liverpool that Ben really began to pick up traction.

During this time Ben mastered his craft as a warm-up DJ and went on to play for a number of well-renowned brands in the North-West, playing at some of Liverpool’s most prestigious venues, supporting hugely influential names in the process, besides surpassing well over 1 million hits on the Soundcloud platform.

With a bag of private edits up his sleeve, Ben is always sure to bring something different to the dancefloor. Now knuckling down with his production, this young DJ is certainly one to keep an eye out for.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
