Simon Field delivers the hypnotic club cut ‘Let This One Ride’ via Basement Records.

Oslo-based DJ / producer Simon Field returns with ‘Let This One Ride’, lifted from the upcoming album ’Need No Music’ released this August through his own label Basement Records. A cerebral slice of hypnotic electronica, ‘Let This One Ride’ moves at its own pace, emotive deep-house for happy hours and early mornings.

He says: “Releasing ‘Let This One Ride’, a mystic deep spoken words opening takes you into a dark pulsating percussion-driven beat. A perfect way to start a set this summer… let this one ride.”

Simon Field has had 150m+ streams and synced his music to high-profile TV shows such as Californication & Ugly Betty. Shared stages with Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez and played an array of high-profile venues from Ministry of Sound, Mambo Ibiza, and Eden to bigger festivals like In It Together and Escape. His tracks are supported by an impressive array of DJs from David Guetta, Frequencies to Majestic.

He says about this mix “A fresh set premiering my new song “Let This One Ride” and build from there. The overall vibe of the set is inspired by the sound of Oslo at the moment – from jackin tech, and minimal tech to deep house at steady 126 BPM. Dark, mysterious and vibey.”

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
